    As more patients with congenital heart disease (CHD) survive into adult life, they may face medical problems related to their CHD. Among others, these include the risk of infective endocarditis, the management of contraception, pregnancy, the occurrence of arrhythmias, the complications of hypoxaemia, or problems related to single disease patterns, such as plastic bronchitis in Fontan circulation.
